We're in the market and we walk into this house yesterday and the guy who owns it walks out of his garage. I said damn, you look just like Rollie Fingers. He kinda laughed and said he was. Now, I saw Fingers pitch in 1973 when I was 7 in Oakland Alameda stadium, but this guy doesn't look a day over 45, if that (and his wife looked about 30 and his 4-year old son looked like he was 4). Sure enough, he's either a RF impersonator or the real deal, because he has a ton of baseball memorabilia and of course, pictures of himself with various baseball HOF's.

Nice house, but not what I'm looking for. Wife wants to make an offer. I'm going to hold out until Vince Neil puts his house on the market.

Is this in Vegas?

I used to see Rollie quite often at SAMS TOWN when I lived in Vegas.

That must have been a trip to see Rollie in that situation. Those A's teams of the early 70s were unbelievable, and if Charlie O didn't F it all up they would have continued to win championships, imo. Cool post.

Congratulations on your wedding, WC! Just last week you were bragging about how good looking your girlfriend was.

Yes, Rollie lives in Vegas, I've golfed with him in several celebrity tournaments. He used to do PR work for one of the auto dealerships and one or more of the casinos.

Douggie, I don't remember bragging about you. I really doubt I would have been bragging because you is one ugly bitch. Now my wife...I brag about her all the time.

He had a lot of golf memorabilia, in fact, maybe more golf than baseball. I thought maybe he was on the celebrity tour or something.

WC,
You don't remember because you didn't! And don't ever brag about your reading comprehension skills...I said..."Just last week you were bragging about how good looking your girlfriend was."

...your girlfriend, not me, not your wife. I hope your wife doesn't read the forums since you didn't acknowledge the wedding.

WC get me a contact for Rollie Fingers. Interviews work :)

Chris...If we go to his house again and he is there, it can hurt to ask. Don't think I won't whip out all his baseball cards from the 70's either. Some have a little spoke damage, but most are in great shape. Like I said, At first I wasn't sure if it was just some joe blow that looked like him because he really looks great for his age. But once I saw the A's/Padres/Brewers stuff I knew it was his house.

Dougie, I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I'm happily married, any reference to a girlfriend or skank I hooked up with in my youth was probably material from the past that you took out of context.
