Many times, although its been 10+ years.

One thing to remember, the train is semi-noisy at night and it can get very chilly.

The train is a great way to travel, especially on the more scenic routes.

I looked into it once. Best I can recall, my conclusion was not much cheaper than flying and not much faster than driving, so why?

believe a long trip on the train is more costly these days than a flight

Amtrak.....Great!!!!

Great trip...may leave a bit late..sometimes on time..but take a sleeper...small one is a bitcramped...but hell..wake up in the AM and take a hot shower.....the airlines are good but amtrak pretty interesting way to travel..if u have time......food is actually pretty good on the long hauls...white table cloth and all......have a few and you wont feel the bumps and jerks of the train......."I'll have the grilled sole"......James Bond ,in the dining car....in "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE"......Connery was "the" man......
