In a case where you lose your credit card and report it lost.

1) When you receive a new card, does it come with a complete new number or only the 3 digit security code changes? (On a renewal, the expiry date and 3 digit security get changed. Never had a card lost).

2) What happens to a refund that was reuqested on the card?

Your help would be appreciated.

I don't know but I would guess if a card is lost and a new one is sent, the new one will have a different number.
As for a pending refund, that would be credited to your account regardless of card status.

1) Your new card will have a completely new number

2) Depends on the company and situation. Usually they quickly remove/credit you for the charges.

the old card number is temporarily linked to the new number for refunds coming from merchants, it wont last long , usually no more than 2 weeks
