Even though I rarely post I have been a member of this forum since the 1990's

I have had good luck with books over the years by sticking with the good ones that you all suggest.
This following has really left a poor taste in my mouth about this book and the way they handled this situation.

Here is exactly what happened between last nite and this morning:

I placed a $30 wager on under 47.5 total points 1st quarter in Det/Cle game in the early eve.
A couple hours later I placed a $30 wager on over 45.5 total points in SA/Dallas game.

Shortly before the second bet I noticed that 9 had a line error. All their 1st quarter TEAM TOTALS lines for the Det and Sa games were lines appropriate for halftime.
In other words all team totals were about double what they should have been. I immediately called them let them know the problem- the guy took my info down and said I would get a bonus for letting them know. ( sounded good I didnt even know they did this ). I then placed the second bet and about five minutes later the correct lines were up.

Fast forward to this morning when I get a voicemail telling me that my wagers had been cancelled. I called to find out whats up and spoke to a complete jerk manager named JJ.
He starts out very sarcastically saying "you dont expect us to accept a bad line do you?"

"Of course not but how is a point and half a point a bad line"( as this morn the Sa game is 46.5 total for 1st qtr and Det is 47 total for first qtr.

He then claims that I bet over 45.5 SA team points 1st qtr and under 47.5 Det team points 1st qtr. He claims that I made a mistake when entering the bets. NO way. Without a shadow of a doubt I entered my wagers from the Total Points box and not the Team Toals point box.

NOw for those that say sometimes they hit the wrong bet and I may have done that a time or two before but DEFINATELY not this time.

First all the wagers were made completely sober about 2 hours apart.
Meaning that I would have had to make the same mistake twice.
Secondly if I did make the mistake twice then Im really silly for taking SA to score over 45.5 in first quarter.

Thirdly and most importantly is that I was the one who called them and told them of the error. I would not make the second bet on a known bad line after I just looked at it.

Those bets have been removed from my account info so I cant access them.
Now JJ claims that my wagers read 1st quarter team total lines and said he would fax it to me which I dont have access to but I really dont doubt that it could be possible. I say that because when I clicked on the "bad" Team totals lines last nite they read " 1st quarter team total" even though the lines were halftime lines.

So its possible that not only were 1st quarter team totals put up wrong but also 1st half team totals for the VISITING team were put in the spot for 1st quarter total points, a really dumb screw up.

So when I clicked OVER 45.5 Total points for Sa game 1st QTR their sytem read it as over 45.5 SA Team total.
When I clicked under 47.5 total for Det 1st quarter their system read under 47.5 DET team total 1st QTR

So as I look at the lines now it seems pretty obvious as to what happened. The fact the the wagers were cancelled are not a big deal except that I made them in good faith and the new lines are worse than what I got.

Im more so upset about the way that I was talked to by JJ, like Im the dummy who cant place a bet right. Hell, here is this multi million dollar company that cant put their lines out right. I wasnt the one who made the mistake. JJ was kind enought to tell me what a stupid wager it was to take SA over 45.5 team total for 1st quarter and that he would be happy to book that if I really wanted it.

And the kicker on top of all this is that JJ said SOMEONE else was given credit for bad line report.
Remember no good deed goes unpunished.

I would avoid this book unless you enjoy professional discourtesy.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for listening.

I'll tell ya a good story about nine.com ... buddy of mine puts in $1500 ... and immediately before any wager was placed his limits are $50 online ... and he has to call in to get more .. no problem ... he calls in a $1k bet and the clerk takes his bet ... and asks him to confirm with username and/or password ... he does and just as he does the clerk goes ummm ...errrr sorry I can no longer take that bet !!!! Even after he confirmed ... my buddy said play back the tapes showing him confirming in time but they hummed and hawed and said they were really sorry ... they feel terrible blah blah ...

What a joke of a sportsbook! Only good thing is they gave him his money back pretty quick ....

Why people still play with joke books like this is beyond me. "We'll take your action as long as you're completely clueless." In the words of nine.com as posted on the RX, "We only welcome recreational bettors. A recreational bettor is someone who could bet either side of the game once the line is out."

I have too many bad experiences to even start with these guys. They are worse than any MVP/VIP I have been asked to leave from before. I can't even scalp my way out. And they are into heavy public advertisement. But we have to tread lightly here, because they are GREAT!

Best wishes...OF :notme:

I signed up about with them during last football season on a $100 bonus promo.
I knew I didnt like them much when I saw -140 on 2 team 7pt teasers
played there about 2 mos

After losing my initial deposit they must have called me a dozen times over the course of the next few months wanting me back. Always with some bogus 10% and a Bonus Bet offer. A month ago they even offered a month of free music downloads. Who cares.

Well a week before the Kentucky Derby they sent me a 50% bonus up to $250 offer and I just couldnt pass it up. I dont regret doing it because it was a good deal, but as soon as the rollover is met I am out.

And since I will more than likely cash out to the good they probably wont be calling me to reup.

A thread about their phone bet games (limit your net action and on the phone move the line against you and give you a new line AFTER they hear what side you want) comes up at least once a month. You could have saved yourself some aggravation just by doing a little research.

Other than that, any newbie whose first post is about Nine looks suspiciously like a ghost.

Your money is safe at Nine.com because they have a "losers only" policy to play there. Anybody that has a clue gets the shit treatment until they leave.

I had the pleasure of speaking with JJ in the past. He is a joke of a "supervisor". Outright rude and based on responses he gave me to a few questions, not a bright man. Sounded like the kind of guy who got picked on a lot throughout school and is taking it out on others now.
