BABE RUTH ON STERIODS ..... OF COURSE NOT!!!
BUT .... I believe that I read a few years back that the year Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs (1927), he hit one-third of all home runs hit that year. If this true and this happened today .........
ESPN would be all over this!!! I can hear it now!!!
I AM NOT A BARRY BONDS FAN AND I AM TOTALLY AGAINST STERIODS ... not because a baseball may go a few feet further but because of the harm that it can cause the body!
There will always be players trying to get an edge. I remember a few years back that baseball players were discouraged to lift weights to bulk up.
Other ways the game has changed to give an advantage:
1. Baseballs have improved to give greater distances.
2. Bats have improved for the same reason.
3. Technology has enter the game to give an edge. The computer will break down every pitcher and hitter to give an advantage.
4. Steriods gets the headlines .... but there are also other means that players and coaches use to get an advantage. I sure you can think of other reasons that I did not mention.
