For those with SIA accounts, is this what your finding?

Seems that in the past 3 weeks or so their lines have become very "ORDINARY", for the lack of a better term.

Thoughts?

Regression to the mean, they should remain pretty good for NFL dog bettors, but scalp city may be gone.

SIA has had some good numbers for MLB totals if not sides. I noticed the BOS situation and think I might open an account there when I get my Hollywood money. Anyone care to recommend me as a "friend".

I always hear ice and fish talking about scalping MLB, are you guys mostly taking sides on overnights and hoping for movement or finding straight-up scalpable numbers?

Do not play the overnights but very rarely......but many folks here make a good living doing so and well they should.

For me, its all about predicted line movement and/or allready seeing a move elsewhere and jumping on the stale number someplace else.........the day of the game.

I think the best numbers at SIA come during football season. Bowman's has weaker numbers lately!

Think your right in the case with SIA.

Bowmans can be of great value at times........very good book.

In football SIA moves the numbers a lot quicker now. Still a decent out for small wagers. NEVER had a problem on withdrawals. LT:103631605

Their numbers are starting to suck in bases - yeah, their football numbers may be attractive but they have a nickel limit - Bowmans numbers suck too - you have not been dealt the sharp line yet - they openly deal two lines - I have never even thought about BOS but maybe I will now - it seems they're no longer a scam.

I guess the new management at BoS has really changed things around. But they sure do move their numbers with what the public is doing. Bowman's does the same thing. Since I'm a contrarian bettor, I just love to see those line moves at both spots.:thumbsup2:

Sounds like the CS improved & the value took a dive.

Migration towards being a tight ass corporate exposure limiting book? Me thinky yes.

I don't scalp bases. You have to have a HUGE bankroll for it to be extremly beneficial.
But I do look at overnighters for value on lines I think will move away from me and I feel I have been pretty good at this using 5dimes. You could make some decent extra money by taking leads. For example The Yankess at -141 (5dimes) looks like a good lead. Just taking the time shopping and comparing from the night before numbers and you may be able to win a little bit of money. But must have a huge bankroll for it to be worth it (IMHO)

exchanges are also excellent places to play at for scalps on bases

Remember the money gets freed up on exchanges when you buy back, you can lead for almost the whole balance.

The glory days at SIA in my opinion have been gone for quite sometime. Their
NFL numbers the past two years have been very vanilla. Gone are the days when in the NBA playoffs they use to have the line at say 1.5 or 2 off the norm. Those days were great. I recall hitting several middles in the Lakers/Blazers series like 4 or 5 years ago. Their college football numbers this past year were also generic. Once in awhile they had a total that was off 1.5 to maybe 3 points but that was only on the early evening games for some odd reason.
