Hubie really knows his stuff!

He is getting up there in age though. So his delivery might not be quite as superb.

I think he is the number 1 color analyst in the game today. I love his knowledge and insights.

Of course, going from Hubie to Walton should end all debate on what a bad color commentary sounds like.

you guys are forgetting doug collins. He's younger, knows his x's and o's, and is very good at remaining neutral while hubie sounds like he's on his knees every time he sees a shot go in. Hubie has good inside knowledge, but I think he should follow Keith Jackson and call it a night.

wildemu, I think Doug is my fav. Never sounds biased either. Something Walton is terribly guilty of.

WHAT!!!! Did you watch any of the love fest that was the Laker/Suns series. When LA was winning Kobe was god like in Collins eyes and could do no wrong. When Kobe mailed in the second half in game seven Collins started the blame everyone else on the Lakers roster expect for the teams best player.

Onto the thread. Brown is good. He brings alot of unbiased insight into the game.

Well, that is a debate in itself. Some will say Kobe mailed it in, others will say he did the right thing by trying to get his team mates to step it up. When the Lakers did well in that series, it was becuase the whole team was playing with confidence and contributing. Kobe was trying to get some of that back but the team never got there. I think that was fair criticism on Doug's part on spot on commentary. If the role players did better, Kobe could have done his thing.

Easy to blame the role players when the Lakers system is set up to give Kobe the ball all the time. The success and failure of the lakers rests solely on Kobe's shoulders not the role players.
