He's one of these guys who can carry a game and suddenly do something so stupid like that ... hit the rim man!
BTW, Mr. Timmy D. got screwed on that call - no foul there, DirkN just happened to roll his ankle on tim's foot

i cant believe they let him take the shot to win it when they were down one,
and then of couse instead of taking it to the rim and try to get fouled he pulls up for a 18 foot jumper

Same guy that in Game 1 with the Mavericks down late 85-87 and he has the last shot and only needs a two to tie, has an open lane to the hoop on the side and instead of either driving and getting probably fouled or shooting the 15 footer, decides to go back to the 3 point line and cast away. Something is missing upstairs. One brick short of a full load.

haha Dirk's comments were great

What did Dirk say? I missed it.

Yeah when Stack went to the line I knew he wasn't going to make both FT's. I needed a -3 for the push. Thanks fool.

WOW 2 bonehead plays in 3 games for Stack. I like the guy as a player but that's inexcuseable. How do you not hit the rim?

It's amazing that veterans like Stackhouse still don't know basic NBA rules.

Inexcusable. But that's today NBA players. Stackhouse is just one of many, many rich morons.

What about the coach? If the team truly wanted Stack to miss the free throw, wouldn't you as coach call time-out just to be 100% sure the player knows what to do? This could have cost them the game, as SA had no chance off a missed free throw unless someone made a full court shot. Could have gone down as one of the biggest sports blunders if SA won on that last shot.

I think I've read Stack is a BIG gambler. Wouldn't be surprised if he "owed" some people some money.

he really lucked out then. Whats the chances that his team would win and not cover because he was fouled in the last 3 seconds of the game? He should have started throwing the game a little sooner

Dirk first said "He has been in the league ten years, he should know the rules" Then they asked him what he thought when it happened and he goes "I was wondering what in the hell he was doing". Funny, funny stuff.
