Det over Cleve
Wow, is Cleve struggling? I believe they will struggle again today as it isn't any easier facing Maroth. He can be very nasty and all knowledgable fans knew he would be good one day after losing 20 games 3 yrs ago. He can pitch and the Indians are just going through one of the droughts that hits EVERY good team once or twice a year. When they catch fire, bet them, until, fade them. Johnson hasn't been what the Indians thought he would be. His era is 5.82 compared to Maroth's 2.55. Indians got shut out yesterday 3-0 and losers of 4 in a row. To me, the play is easy..... Det @ pick.
Ariz- StL UNDER 8 1/2
Batista pitched okay despite a high era of 5.05. His era ballooned becasuse of 2 poor games, but he seems to have fixed the problems and is better now. Most of Carpenters games have gone under as teams usually play by the book and scratched for runs by bunting and giving away outs and hoping to shorten up the game. Usually Carpenter games resemble a playoff game with team playing it by the book. Not expecting lots of runs today either and Carpenter is certainly capable of throwing a shut out each time he takes the hill. THE PLAY IS UNDER 8 1/2.
Tor- TB PLAY OVER 10
This play jumps out as maybe the best of them all. Why isn't the line higher. Who knows. Tor has tons of offense and they know everytime Towers takes the mound they need at least 7 runs to have a chance. tor averages almost 6 runs a game and TB over 4. Just decent pitching equals a push. Well today is not decent pitching. Towers era is 10.09 while Fossum is 5.36. tor is loaded with RH power vs Fossum and towers can't pitch. Tor must have nobody in their minor league system cuz he doesn't belong in the majors. With all the runs Tor. scores, you would of thought he would have 1 win. PLAY OVER........
Pitt- Fla PLAY PITT -55
I look for Pitt to bounce back today. Moehler is not very good as he is 0-4 with era of 9.76. I expect the Pirates to score plenty of runs while Snell pitches for the Pirates, He is going to be good as the pirates has lots of young arms. I fully expect him to be good today. He is 3-1 at home this year and last 2 starts were a loss to Pdro 4-3 and then shutting out Ariz 3 to 0. Fla's line-up isn't nothing like the Mets and Moehler ain't no Pedro. PLAY PITT. (PS guys, my wife likes Fla. HOPE her FEELING is wrong!!!!)
