CAN you? Sure. I suppose.
Better question is why would you want to when there are surely better ways to make money.

Unbelievable that a handicapping forum with brilliant minds has stepped over the simple rule of gambling. The answer of course is a resounding YES.

If the odds of the proposition/outcome you are wagering on is higher than the payout, you of course, are a winner.

To do this you must be able to correctly assign probability, but that's what great handicappers do.

If you determine a team has a 72% chance of winning, and vegas is offering -200 on this team, You are a long-term winner (67.7% breakeven) If you incorrectly assign wrong probability (poor handicapping) and make wagers that aren't offering proper odds, you will be a long-term loser.

I think the answer is "No". Sure you can pick your spots at -200, especially in tennis and Nascar, but the queston seems to imply grinding it out "every night" and making money. The opportunities just aren't there day in and day out. A good capper will play a lot of -200 plays, but to find value in these numbers every night can't be done.

I think there is a much greater opportunity of making money making plays at +200 every night, especially in bases, but again you'd be hard pressed to find value every night.

Then they wouldn't be that wise of a guy or Capper. It is simple math. What is so hard to understand? If you can hit anything over 2 out of 3 of the -200 plays you win money. Ofcourse you can win money betting this. Anyone that says otherwise is plain and simply off their rocker.

As mentioned this baseball season has been more than kind to those -200 and -250 chalks.
And if you keep laying that kinda wood, over the course of your life you will find out the hard way its a NO NO. This just happens to be one of those years that they have just killed the Doggies in most sports. Take the NFL for an example last year. Take ALL of the chalks winning in the National League on friday night. Lots of examples for the chalks, but as in most things it will come back to earth, when is the Real question. Might even be today, but it will happen.

BOL to you.

I don't recall him asking if you could do it in baseball? The answer would still be yes you can. I couldn't do it, but I don't make my money playing straight baseball action anyway. There are many things, like Nascar and golf matchups, props or tennis that one can certainly do it. He didn't mention a specific sport in his question.

Well quite simply you are incorrect. No need to discuss it further.
