The shocking elimination of American Idol’s Chris Daughtry has propelled the increasingly popular Taylor Hicks into the role of favorite with the field of American Idol hopefuls down to the final three. With Daughtry suddenly out of the picture, Pinnacle has made Hicks the 5/8 favorite.

American Idol is a joke...they come up with these "shocking" eliminations which set the world on it's very heels, and keep everyone tuned in to next week's dreary broadcast. American Idol is a competition the same as professional wrestling is. They figure out who will advance based on what kind of ratings they'll get. They throw in a "shocker" to keep everyone guessing and debating and eager to find out what twist will happen next. Please get lives.

pinnacle didnt "drop chris's odds after a disappointing performance", they were whacked down by bettors who recognized the stupid + odds they were hanging on Chris to get booted.

pinnacle especailly and all the Chris backers thought he was dead solid gold until he got the boot instead of Big Kat. That was shocking to them. Personally I did not feel a bit shocked or surprised when Chris left.

and "increasingly popular' Taylor Hicks? since when? he has been all along. people in the Idol thread who knew what they were doing have been gobbling up Taylor to win for some time

+850....odds for yes that Taylor gets voted off. How in the world is Vegas able to know that this guy is the one...unreal...I can only imagine off of last weeks voting.

I really think Elliot beats out Taylor this week and it is Kat and Elliot going head to head. Why am I talking about this, because I took Taylor to get voted off for a small amount, and I know in the back of my mind it wont happent, but stranger things have......right?

You're clueless. Daughtry getting eliminated was not shocking at all. If you paid attention, you would know that. Sharp posters have discussed the fading of Chris for weeks now. A website that tracks busy signal pct. had Chris dead last after Tues. show and predicted his boot. Even with that info posted here, you had fools at The RX laying up to -400 that Chris would not be eliminated.

My thoughts as posted in other threads is that Kat is on borrowed time. Taylor is assured of making it to the final two.
