"Put It On the Board...YES"--Most annoying HR call

White Sox guys on Comcast do this whenever they hit a bomb...the lamest sounding thing I've heard on the air in a long time.

anyone else hearing this on today's broadcast?

"HAWK" Harrelson had used that call for 20+ years now.

Personally, I like it.

I don't mind that call, but the "HE GONE" crap after every strikeout drives me nuts.

The worst part is the dead air announcing. I'm watching a little this afternoon in the 1st inning with a couple runners on base Thome strikes out....and they don't announce it. Literally dead air for like 15 seconds until the next hitter comes up and they said 1 down and here's whoever. And I've heard that before when the other team hits a HR or a double or something they say either nothing or almost nothing instead of doing a play-by-play.

I mean, I know it's TV, and we should be watching to see what's going on, but still, it's called play-by-play for a reason.

The White Sox announcers are the WORST when it comes to this. You're absolutely right. There is so much dead air during CWS broadcasts, it's ridiculous.

Despite all their annoying crap though, the guys are likeable enough.

You are so right, lots of dead time. Makes me appreciate Vin Scully that much more. Always weaving a tale of some sort between pitches. He is truly a brilliant announcer.

No. Hawk's is not the most annoying HR call. I actually kind of like it.
