I hope you win but those are truely false numbers for Oliver Perez. He is much better than that and for you I hope he does not prove it tonight! Good Luck Buddy

I know Perez is better than the stats show, but the fact the Reds
love LHP and Bronson not likely to give up more than 3 runs
makes the Reds look good 2 me. But hey last 2 weeks I been
picking losers, this one will likely lose as well.. GL

I was gonna nail cincy tonight...historically,though, by the trends and info I analyzed this morning, I'd AVOID THE GAME OUTRIGHT...

if I played,i'd lay a small play on Pirates as a dog...Cincy loves lefties but hates hitting on the road...Reds only gave Arroyo 1 run at home vs. Zach Day of nats last outting for ND...

6 trends are 80% or more against Reds here...

yeah cincy probably wins, my $ is on neither tonight

Pitts plays Cincy TOUGH ( cincy 3 of 4 games)

all 4 in cincy were tight, hard fought games...

If you love cincy ( I did, but data says beware!) play it su and light...imho

Hey Gyn,
You might have a winner and you always have great stats overall to back it up, but the Reds have lost 4 in a row and 3-7 L10. Pirates 4-10 L10 so they are playing very similar.
You do have Arroyo going for you, but the Reds just have come back to earth and I think there stats are a little skewed based on the hot early start.
Good luck with this one, I always enjoy your posts, i'm not playing one just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in.

Perez really is THAT bad. Before his fluke 2004 season the guy was a mess and walked way too many. He has always had great stuff and the ability to strike out more than 1 batter per inning pitched, but look at the numbers they don't lie. Hitters are hitting .321 off him, he has more walks than K's, Pirates threatened to ship him to AAA if he doesn't get it together, his WHIP is 2.11!! Last year his WHIP was 1.67 this disturbing trend of allowing a ton of base runners has been going on for more than 1 season. Perez is definately someone you bet against until he proves otherwise, and I don't see things changing for him anytime soon as he is a total headcase.

Gyno is right here. Perez simply is not good, and people who continue to believe that the 2004 year was indicative if anything other than the NL's unfamiliarity with him will continue to pay with their wallets.

That said, Gimme The Pirates for 2 reasons.

1. Perez is a Lefty, and The reds 2 best hitters are leftys.

2. Arroyo is smoke and mirroring it right now.

Perez blows, I lost a lot on him. That said, Reds are very very cold right now. They did nothing against Philly and nothing last night. This could be a breakout game tonight. Gl I would play Cincy if they were lower.
