    Johan Santana vs Justin Verlander...alright.

Santana is a man amongst boys lately. Verlander has been shitty. Soo....the score after 7 tonight is 0-0. Why is whenever their is a mismatch on the mound the game goes under. Happens all the time. Take note of this. Play unders on games that pits the #1 vs. #5. It is as good as gold. If someone has a stat on this I would bet you that this things hits at a 80% clip or better.

Mismatch? Verlander is one of the highest rated rookies coming out the American League. If you really think a small sample size of a few bad games for Mr. V means he's shitty you're seriously mistaken. Comerica Park plays large. Verlander tops out around 98mph and there's no reason why he can't pitch as well as Johan at home. Not to mention the kid threw a 2-hit shutout at Texas earlier this year. He'll have his ups and downs like everyone, but a mismatch? Sure on paper but not in the game.

Its a mismatch. There is no other way to explain this. He is not in Santanas League. He is a #5 starter. Do you read my lips #5.

You need to learn what the sport of baseball really is. There is not some secret law that states a #5 cannot beat a #1. Pitching isn't the only thing to factor when anticipating an outcome in a game.

No, I'm not reading your lips, I'm reading the comical observations you keep posting.

You obviously have never heard about who Justin Verlander is. Tell me this, if you are so adament that he's a #5 starter and cannot beat someone like Johan, tell me why the Tigers would make Verlander their #1 out of spring training when they had other vets. Very rarely does any rookie overtake a #1,2,3 spot in the rotation. They earn their way up. Something Verlander has done this year.

Your logic must work like this.

A good team cannot beat a #1 starter on a mediocre team while pitching their 5th starter.

Because a pitcher is their #5 starter, he must be "shitty".

A #1 starter will never be in the same "league" as a #5 starter, #1 always wins.

Regardless of how good Johan is to you, the Tigers have owned the Twins this year up and down.

Last misconception - the Tigers are a bad team. No, this is 2006.

Your an idiot if you think Verlander is in Santanas category. Anyone with a half a brain could figure this out. Get a clue. I'm through with you.

Where did I say he was in Johan's category? He's a great young pitcher. You're pathetic if you think baseball is A + B = C . Either think about a post before you make yourself look like a fool, or shut up and admit that you don't know how the game works.

You have no idea who Justin Verlander is. He's a GOOD young pitcher, why can't he beat Johan? Because he's Johan? C'mon already. It's baseball and this sort of outcome happens all the time. I know your soured because you lost, but that doesn't make your jibberish fact.

Ok dumbass where in my thread did I say that a #5 never beats a #1? You show me. Look hard? I m sure you will find it. I made an analysis based on history that when a 5 hooks up with a 1 that the game goes under the posted total. Didnt I? You look long and hard and find it where I said a 5 never beats a 1.......

All I did was call your idiotic theory that it was an obvious mis-match. Since then you've completely pissed on your entire thread with pointles responses. If you are "done with me", then stop coming back just to pretend you have some sort of "honor" to defend.

Do me a favor, next time you make a post and someone responds pointing out obvious fallacies, go do your homework so you don't keep making them post after post.

"You're a fukhead" - You are one tough cookie. Big bad Mr. Public. No, I dont feel like making up new cuss words to boost my ego.

    Mr PM :

What does "logic" mean? Here you go, logic "the principles that guide reasoning within a given field or situation". Tonight you made a post that made no sense, so I merely responded with how your "logic" must work.

I never said that's what you wrote, because obviously had you done that I would have quoted it. I said Logic. I know that's a big word for you and you really want me to pretend I said it something else, but that's not the case.

If there's one thing that will come of this thread, it's that nobody will bother following your plays. Look how upset you get over one game, can't imagine much capping went into it when you still have no idea who JV is and claim how insane an outcome a 2-0 loss is. What, a #1 can't get beat by a #5? Lmao.

Oh yea, "I'm through with you!!!!"

I have never had an encounter at this sight in during my time here. I dont go out of my way to cause trouble. I posted a thread tonight thinking out loud and wanted to see what others had to say. You come in here saying that Verlander is just as good a Santana. I make a counter point. You tell me that I said a 5 never beats a 1. I never said that. I ve been around long enough to not make idiotic statements like that. Once again, the past 3 starts Verlander hasnt been as effective as Santana has. I thought with the recent outings by both picthers the value -131 Minn. would be with Santana. I guess I was wrong. Lord have mercy, but I have noticed over the years that when a 5 is paired with a 1 that the game goes UNDER the posted total. I dont have any problems with you. I try to post things here that are useful and debateable. I made a statement, you made yours. I guess we were on opposite angles looking at the game. You took me wrong and I took you wrong. The last thing that I want is for someone to be pissed off at such a petty misunderstanding. Im sorry for saying what I did and therefore I ask for your forgiveness. I overreacted. Peace.

    Pubs.

No problem Public, I wasn't trying to start problems in your thread. I was watching the game, and have watched Verlander a lot this year. I guess when I read that you thought he was shitty and also #5 that inclined me to respond on his behalf and on behalf of my own watching him this season.

I don't think you overreacted, just two people trying to state how they feel. Agree to disagree. Good luck.

Great. Based my capping on tonights game on recent outings and Santana has been on fire. Pitching great as of late, but the Twins decided to once again leave the sticks in the clubhouse.
