WASHINGTON (RM ORTIZ) vs CHICAGO CUBS (K WOOD)

This is a rare play for me as I hate playing on the Nationals as they do not win enough to be reasonable dog play but in this case they are the benefactor of a grisly stat against the the Cubs.

Chicago is 0-8 in their last 8 day games.

Based on the fact that day games are brutal for the Cubs and couple that with the fact that the Nationals have just been shut-out twice in a row ... I see the Nats keeping the streak alive today.

+160 also propels me a bit because if I was making this line it would sit closer to +120 with the Cub's day game stat taken into consideration.

I'm like the Nationals today, or I should Ortiz because Washington is my least favorite team to wager on because they are a miserable team. But with Wood coming back from a LONG lay off I think he will not only be on a strict pitch count but his control could be wild. Oddsmakers are hyping up the name but we don't know how Wood looks anymore coming off some serious arm injuries.

I luv the nationals in this spot. With Wood having a pitch limit...even with good stuff...he'll only pitch thru the 5th(hopefully). Too much value to pass up with the nats. I'll be waiting till game time as I expect the public to POUND Wood and the cubs. On an offensive standpoint...both teams are at about the same level...poor. The Nats were shut out last night...don't see that happening 2day. I'll be taking the nats and the ++money.

great call on Wash. Sweated that out big time. Very surprised Stanton or Majewski (my nemisises) didn't blow it. Even Cordero was shaky.

Good job today. Gotta love 'dem dogs! I too considered Lima and the Mets today, but I passed after Lima screwed me his last time out. He should be a good fade when he's favored though. Good luck the rest of the season.
