ok, i said i was taking a week off...i almost made it. last sunday i more than doubled my units lost in one day. i am still taking a break. i am betting today, but i am laying off all the games on friday, saturday and sunday. I HATE BETTING INTERLEAGUE PLAY, it is fun to watch , but horrible to bet on. i am sure most of you will agree with me on this one.
just about all afternoon games and i am off work, so screw it, i am betting today. got one i really like........
phillies -143 vs milwaukee(3 units)..........fightin phils have dropped two in a row in the 9th inning at milwaukee. i love cole hamels. pitched a great game in his debut. walked a few but i think was because of being so fired up that he lost a little contol. this guys is a cross between steve carlton and randy johnson. phils might not score alot of rookie brewer pitcher who had pretty good AAA stats himself, but they are not going to need alot with hamels throwing today. if he goes at least seven innings, he will reach double digits in strikeouts today and get the win.
mets +1.5 (-121) vs st louis(3 units)..............i like the mets to win this game, but felt much better getting a run and a half and only having to lay 121. i really do look for the mets to win, but they could lose another one run game. hard to go against the mets lineup getting runs.
texas +123 vs yankees(2 units).........i have always like padilla since his days with the phils. he is a all or nothing pitcher and i think he brings his a-game today. yanks still hurting and are a go against until they get a little healthier.
cincinnati -118 vs pittsburgh(2 units)............break up the pirates. reds all of a sudden struggling and need a win badly. if against a decent team, i would be for the reds to drop another one, but i think they break out the bats today and outscore the pirates.
atlanta -156 vs florida(1 unit)............i have said all along that it is the braves turn to get hot and make up some ground in the nl east and that is what they have done this week so far. riding the braves for a while.
kansas city +205 vs cleveland(1 unit)............why not? kc has won a few recently while the tribe has struggled.
i hope it was not a mistake betting today. i really liked the phils alot and did not want to pass this one up. watch it be my only winner and i go 1-5. that would make me sick.
taking a pass all weekend. more than likely, back on monday.
