And you will want to lay the juice on the Mavs series - with 3 seconds left in the game before the jump ball Terry punched Finley - the refs did not call a technical on the spot because it would have ended the game for Dallas - all day the Spurs have been going nuts on Stern - eventually, Terry was suspended for game 6 for punching Finley - a punch is an automatic ejection and technical - you boys may want to take this into consideration - the NBA cannot afford SA to play Detroit - two of the most boring teams to the avergage person - the league would love to see James in the finals - he is the NBA's future Jordan - and anyone but the Spurs again.

I saw the punch, and I saw Finley complaining to the refs, he was pretty covered up though, and it was hard to see exactly what happened in the pile up.

As my friend Coach LT once said

:puppy: "Please behead me if you catch me watching one of those games, much less betting on one"

How can a punch be thrown and there be no call - it's an automatic ejection, technical and suspension.

Seymour did you happen to see the ending?

From the TV view you couldn't see the punch....or just how hard he hit him.

Finely was furious though, it must have been pretty bad.

I didn't see anything - but I know if he is suspended that the tapes show Terry punched or threw a punch at Finley and a technical should have been called on the spot regardless of the score or timeing.

Yes a technical should have been called but the refs at the game don't have the advantage of watching the play on tape. This is your "proof positive?" *yawn*

I understand you find SA and Detroit boring but some of us would like to see the two best teams play and not the two most exciting - local playgrounds have exciting teams - personally, I like watching Bill Russell, I mean Tim Duncan play - I haven't seen the punch but my guess is if he was suspended then he threw a punch and not a love tap.

They're not fixed, you can always find calls going the wrong way for a "fixed game".

But NBA officiating is horrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand to watch them, the refs really are jackasses. They suck, they're inconsistent, they change outcomes, they are impact players, but they're not paid off. They're just clueless.

And everybody that knows hoops knows this to be true.

I agree - and that was the case of the Superbowl - but when it happens nearly every 7 game of a series always favoring one side I just think it is more than bad officiating.
