Hey man...I like the under 75 million. Which book has it at that? Pinnacle has it at 70 million and I still like it there.

Reviews of the movie has been very lukewarm. They say it's confusing and very slow paced.

Of course they're hoping that a good chunk of the people who have bought the book will go see the movie. But from what I've read they've said the book is better.

So I'm betting a small amount on the under.

I hope to bet weekend box office gross all summer so hopefully we'll make some $$$

Hello Rx'ers,

I recently noticed that Betcris is offering a proposition wager on the weekend gross of "The Davinci Code". Having said that, One of my good friends is a Regional Director for a Major Movie Theatre Company in the United States. He told me that the industry "Speculation" (This is something they do for all movies before they screen.) is $70,000,000 for the weekend. You can take this for "What it is", just a speculation, but seeing that it comes from the theatre company itself, I would tend to put a little weight behind it. Here are the bets that BetCris is offering. In my opinion the prop of under $83,000,000 at Betris at a +170 Price might just offer some value.

Good Luck Everyone.

I wouldn't bang too hard. I go to Boxofficeguru a lot and he can be wrong big time. I always go there also to see his opinion.

Boxofficemojo puts out a forecast that's pretty close sometimes but it doesn't go up till Friday.

Under, everyone is ripping it, no way it gets this much bad press, plus getting bashed by the church, and have that huge of a weekend. MIII even didnt do that well with all its hype.

It's the first big box office movie of the summer.

Last summer I remember Pinny put out a line for Charlie and the Choc Factory which I could not believe. It was for over 36 million. That one was a 10 star pounder. It grossed way more than that the first weekend. I put a good chunk of my account in that.

So let's hope hope hope one of those funny lines comes out again for us this summer.

MI3 had Tom Cruise. I've read the reason a lot of people didn't see that movie was because of him. And it even got fairly decent reviews.

So far the summer box office is down. Mi3 tanked and so did Posideon last weekend.

HOWEVER...the week before Memorial day weekend has been a very successful weekend for movie openings.
