what a dick.
heres a story that happened to me;
2 outs, Im batting. guy on first base trys to steal second. it appeared our runner was clearly out, looked like a very bad call by 2nd base umpire. other teams fans were going apeshit.
very next pitch comes in and hits my forearm. not head on, but not just grazed me either. I immidiately went " Owwww" and started shaking my arm. I wasnt acting, it hit me and it hurt.
Umpire wasnt sure it hit me and didnt want to make 2 bad calls in a row and other teams fans were now yelling at me. umpire rules foul ball off my bat.
I turn around and say are you nuts? or something and show him my forearm, which was cut and bleeding. he refused to change the call.
my coach argued a bity and I went to the on deck circle. I couldnt swing well, my arm was hurting. had a full count. next pitch a little high and in but I swung and missed. had I not swung umpire would have helped me out , even if it was a strike I realize now. he knew he blew the call on me. I said something nasty to him, I was pissed about striking out. Next time I came up he actually apologized.
