Do you think a nightly gambling (similar to an investment) show , could make it?

Not some Jim Feist crap but like something you see on CNN or MSNBC. NO 900 #'s or anything like that but show that tries to educate people on the daily grind of "advantage" play. They could talk to pro's and maybe bring the whole poker thing into it. Something that tried to show people how sports gambling could be more like sports investing

I know i would watch but I am afraid I am in the minority. If constructed right it might have an audience but I am think most members of society still think of us as degenerate gamblers and gambling as a no win situation.

That would be cool! I don't see it happening anytime soon though - especially not in the States...

That would be a great show and I guarentee you it would get better ratings than most most shows on ESPN like quite frankly and Knight school.

I heard thru the grapevine that Directv is comming out with the gamming channel in the near future. Maybe that channel will have a show like the one you are talking about.

like this week even though we are in May (typically a slower than average gambling month) you have bases, hoops, hockey, and the whole triple crown thing, plenty of sports going on to keep a diverse group interested

Yes

It absolutely could make it.

You'd need serious dough to get it started.

Could you find a big channel willing to show it...

ESPN would probably be your best bet, but they thread gingerly on sports gambling..

The NFL,MLB and NBA would never allow ESPN to have a show like that.

Hell, the NFL made them get rid of playmakers!!!!

I agree, personally feel the program could fill a niche market, can it or will it ever happen? Someone with Mark Cuban money and forward thinking mentality would have to be backing a project of this size. What does it cost to rent studio time? Is satelite an option for airing a program of this nature? Would my wife let me subscribe to this channel? Smarter people than i will have to answer those questions.

It would be a great show, unfotunately it won't happen.

They could talk about bad beats, recap key plays that changed the winning side etc.

LOL- the term 'gas can' would be very popular! And they would talk about relievers blowing covers, kickers missing extra points, refs blowing whistle with .04 on the clock,lol...endless material.

Not sure if you all have heard yet, but there's a new series called the Ultimate Blackjack Tour coming to CBS television on Saturdays before college football. There's a pretty rockin site they have at www.playubt.com.

Good idea !! But i think that NO one dare to air such a thing, as Sports betting is a NO NO anyway!! In the USA.

yeah Insiders, gambling is a hush hush thing even though everyone does it..(lottery, casinos in most states, scratch it tickets, keno monitors all over every store, etc..)

In Canada they have a channel dedicated to gambling CGTV - casino and gaming tv. Unfortunately it is rubbish with reruns of UK poker events and a live poker program where the guests discuss the play of the players. really low budget rubbish.
