I was gonna hit the Sox but found this from last year and this guy is behind the plate today, so be careful:
Chicago Cubs righthander Greg Maddux brought his canvas to Minute Maid Park on Tuesday night, giving a clinic on hitting the corners, changing speeds and mixing in breaking pitches.
Maddux even led plate umpire Larry Vanover on a ride to the extreme portions of the strike zone, sending the Astros back to the dugout grumbling several times about a wider zone for Maddux than Andy Pettitte.
With a cut fastball, sinker and menacing changeup, Maddux was in vintage form while beating the Astros 4-1 to tie the three-game series entering tonight's finale.
Pettitte was adamant he didn't lose to Maddux because of any discrepancies with the strike zone, but he acknowledged that his teammates took exception to some of Vanover's calls.
