While checking out the Sporting News SEC magazine I was checking out ALL of Div 1 team schedules. I like to do this to check out situational spots such as look a heads, letdowns, 3 or more road games in a row, and revenge games. Another key thing I look for is teams that have 7 or more straight games before an open date. Tired teams do not play well. Going alphabetically I was astounded to see that Illinois,Indiana, and Iowa ALL played their Complete 12 game schedule Without an open date. I thought I had discovered The Holy Grail of
situational handicapping. I soon realized that I had found Fools Gold as ALL BIG TEN TEAMS played their Complete 12 game schedule without an open date. Purdue plays 13 straight games due to playing @ Hawaii. That has got to be a mistake either by Sporting News or the Big Ten
A couple of situations bear watching. Auburn plays 12 straight and Georgia plays 11 straight without a break. When Georgia travels to Auburn it will be the 11th straight game without a break for each. The key that intrigues me is that this game is Georgia's Third straight road game in a row! If I play the game it will be Auburn or pass. Guys, when I see situations like this I get goosebumps and a stirring in my loins! God, I LOVE College Football! LT arty: :money8: :money:
