I heard a rumor they put the balls in an incubator to squeeze out moisture or something to that effect. Just wondering if this is true.

It's not a rumor it's a fact verified by ESPN, MLB etc...not a secret either but it's not new this year they've been doing it for about 2-3 years.

Actually they keep them in a humidor to KEEP them moist. Dry balls fly.
They also just used to grab any balls out of the humidor on game day. Now they track it and get the balls that have been in the longest. :103631605
