Decent day yesterday got bailed out by the Astros late inning rally. Went 2-2 yesterday as the Padres looked horrid last night. Here is who I like for Saturday:
Dodgers -142 over LAA: Angels are lost right now and it doesn't help to be facing arguably the hottest pitcher in baseball. Garrett Anderson remains out and no one has been able to pick up the slack for the Angels. The Dodgers are playing good baseball right now and with a healthy lineup they should have no problem with the Angels today.
Arizona -180 over Atlanta: Webb has been fantastic this year and while the Braves lineup has been scorching as seen last night if the game is close late the Braves do not have the bullpen keep leads on a consistent basis. Meanwhile, Webb usually goes deep into the games and then hands it off to some of the better bullpen arms in baseball for Arizona. Travis Smith has been awful in his career and this is only a spot start so it could be ugly for him.
Detroit -170 over Cinci: Last night Bonderman once again showed why he will never live up his potential he just can't be consistent. Here is a tail of another pitcher who hasn't lived up to potential and that's Milton. He comes off the DL tonight to face one of the hottest teams in the game that eats lefties alive. Maroth has been fantastic this year and the Tiger offense should give him plenty of run support.
Rangers +109 over Houston: Astros have been having a rough go of it offensively lately. Millwood comes into town coming off a great start in Yankee stadium. Pettitte is his career struggles against the Rangers. Last year he did have a fantastic start against them but he still has a high 5's ERA against them. I look for the Rangers to give Millwood enough run support to win this game a 2 to 3 run margin. Should be a good game but I like the Rangers as underdogs with value.
