Had my money on Brother Derek and Sweet Northern in Match-ups VS Barbaro

Happy to get the wins...I'm sure they won't put the horse down, it did win the Kentucky Derby that has to be worth some good money in stud fees.

It was a fractured ankle and it is life threatening. They are taking him to Kennett Square, PA and it all depends on how the blood supply to the ankle is as to whether he will live. Alex Solis actually said he heard the snap of the ankle of the horse as he was behind Barbaro. Sad sad story.

Dant, not only did the squares get burned here, but 90% of the sharp betters as well. I would think some of the square betters actually chose the underdog whereas SHARP betters would not have looked much further than Brother Derek

My take.....I for 1 would not bet a 1/2 horse for anything... This game of horse racing is very tough day to day. If you are trying to make money wagering you needed to look in a differnt direction today other than Barbaro. I did have him in my exactas but to run 2nd only...I did have the winner as posted down in the Horse forum, But only because I felt he was the best VALUE in the race. I do not look always for the BEST horse, I look for the best ODDS.............G.
