I had SNS to Show in the Preakness. The results said it paid $5.00. My wager paid 1.5 to 1.

I thought the $5.00 in the results to show was for every $2 wager. Shouldn't I be paid 2.5 to 1?

Believe the $5 includes the $2 refunded ticket, meaning it's really $3 profit? Not really sure I'm no horses expert...

I need clarrification... does the $5.00 include the original $2.00 wager? There seems to be a difference of opinion.

Well no one wins by betting show bets, unless you are putting about $5000 to show at times. And yes the $5 that you see on the tote board is EXACTKY what you get paid at the window.

By the way, if you are not even aware of the payout rules, maybe that should tell you that you should not be betting horse racing AT ALL

InSpades,

I wouldn't be so quick with the "No wonder no one wins at horse racing." comment. I know of some who do. Best of luck with any future horse wagers you make.
