**WARNING**

The seat belt extortionists will be out in full force starting May 22 until June 4. With their clever and brilliant slogan at hand -Click it or Ticket- police will be out pulling over hard working, honest, and otherwise law abiding citizens to write them a ticket for daring to risk their own safety.

As anyone with a brain already knows, this racket has little to with safety and everything to do with revenue for both local govts. and the insurance industry.

If you are like me and never wear a seat belt, consider putting the wretched thing on a few times in the coming weeks.

This is total bullshit. They aren't doing it to save lives. It's just another way to make some easy money.

Here in PA they just repealed helmet laws for motorcycles and now they start the seatbelt campaign, rumor has it they repealed the helmet law after pressure from the insurance compaines seems it was cheaper to pay death benefits than it was to take care of someone for the rest of their life.

The seatbelts in cars actually cause injuries (whiplash), if they were really concerned about saftey they would mandate rollbars and five point saftey belts in cars instead of this garbage they are handing out.

It's the same thing with drunk driving when they finally hammered enough people with fines etc, and people stopped drinking as much and ticket revenues went down, they lowered the limit even further to make up for lost revenue.

The only saftey they are concerned with is your left hip pocket.

You and me are on the same page, pardner.

I gues the no-helmet lobby is having some impact throughout the country. Funny, somehow I never heard about that from Brian Williams or Wolf Blitzed.

Here is a link to the current Pennsylvania helmet law http://www.dixiedrifter.com/z-pennsylvania_laws.html

A friendly reminder. Tax collectors aka motor cops are out cracking down again this May thru June.

Does your town suffer from real crime such as meth heads stealing every piece of metal bolted down, burglars stealing your tv while you are at work, ID thieves stealing mail and ruining your good name, or killers and rapists out attacking innocent persons? You have nothing to fear. The coppers are busy with real criminals for now. They will be pulling over average Joe coming home from a long day at work but not wearing a seat belt, and then writing him a $100 ticket. Thank goodness the coppers are protecting average Joe from....average Joe. Someone has to.:puke1: :puke1:
