Still licking my wounds from the Preakness. Who woulda thought the chalk would break through the gate, then suffer a tragic life-threatening injury a furlong into the race? Totally botched it up because it let the 1 and 7 wear each other out. Still, Brother Derek was not handled well by Solis, being rushed up to third after all that madness going on next to him. Anyways... cost me some nice Pick-3 and Pick-4 tickets, among others.

Did go 6-3 and win 1269 in the baseball yesterday. The Cardinals can't go OVER with Marsh against KC though? I thought that might be the best play of all... Oh well... The battle back continues, 53-71-3 and down 4874 for the season. Chopped off a couple of dimes in a couple of days, see if I can't stay hot today.

Small card for me. Ump Club doings and little else for me while I prep for tomorrow and Tuesday's stuff.

Ho Ho Ho Hudson going in Detroit and while his strike percentage is neutral for this year, he's got enough interesting stats to warrant a play. The Reds have gone OVER in his last four day games behind the plate. And his Interleague record the last 18 is 12-5-1; he's also done two straight UNDERS, you have to go back to 2003 for the last time he did three UNDERS in a row. With Robertson struggling mightily on Sundays (Detroit is 0-8 in his last 8 Sunday starts), I'll go with Reds and OVER here.

The plays: Reds plus 134 - 200 to win 268
OVER 9.5 -101 - 404 to win 400

2team parlay: Reds plus 131 and OVER 9.5 -105 - 300 to win 1053

Going with Jam's 'Chase' System on Milwaukee today. Will do this on heavily-favored home teams that lose the first two. Today fits.

The play: Milwaukee -182 - 546 to win 300
Milwaukee -1.5 runs plus 115 - 200 to win 230

Rookie ump (Adrian Johnson) doing his first game in Houston. Have not heard what his minor league stats were and was having little luck on the Internet or talking to friends who try to track this sort of thing. Does anyone have a clue? I know a boatload of trends favor the UNDER here but Buchholz and Koronka have both struggled as of late.

Will bite on STL and OVER once again. Hernandez's 60.9 percent strikes is not quite an official club member, but his last five have all gone OVER. The Cards are also 5-0 SU when Hernandez is the ump in day games and this series had seen five straight go over until last night. Here's betting it gets back on track today with a resounding Card win over 'The Hitman'...

THe plays: STL -1.5 -124 - 248 to win 200
OVER 10.5 plus 111 - 250 to win 277.50

2team parlay - STL -192 and OVER 10 flat - 300 to win 571.02

Colorado is now 15-5 U/O at home this year. Kulpa is a neutral ump but the total is just too high again. Lilly hasn't given up more than 3 earned runs in any of his eight starts. Fogg has given up 5 earned runs twice in his 8 starts. The rest were three or less. Colorado put up an 8-spot the other night but that was off Towers so it doesn't count. Toronto has scored 3-3-8-3-1 runs in their last five. Let's try UNDER.

THe play: TOR/COL UNDER 10.5 even - 400 to win 400

Can the Yankees really be plus 155 or more tonight, even with SMall against Glavine? I'll pass for now, but maybe get involved later if something else sticks out or the Mets go up...
