The Cubs have been my favorite team for as long as I can remember, and I really dont remember a Cubs team playing with less heart right now. The Cubs sat on 4 runs tonight. They thought 4 would be enough to get it done. Some of the plate appearences we had late in the game were absolutely terrible. Ryan Dempster is getting bad now as well. This team is so bad right now, and it is honestly embarasing that we are looking at getting swept by the FLORIDA MARLINS. A FUCKING AAA TEAM AT BEST!!! I want to :nohead:

Yesterday Dempster made his weekly appearance on a morning show in Chicago in which he lit into the host and quit...
He gets paid $150 bucks a week to do this interview with Mike North on the Score in Chicago...
Anyway, Dempster started lying about the brawl and then blamed North for changing what he said, which was completely false...basically Dempster said Sox 3rd base coach..Joey Cora went Hannibal Lector on Mabry and was biting him during Saturday's brawl...
Today he changed his mind and decided to continue to collect the 150 bucks because he gives it to charity...
Long story short...Dempster is more concerned about sports radio than he is about closing games.
The Cubs will finish behind the Pirates this season...just give them some time.
They should get swept by the AAA Marlins tomorrow afternoon.:toast:

Dodgers make trade proposal to Cubs for Ryan*Dempster

According to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com, the Dodgers have made a trade proposal to the Cubs for right-hander Ryan Dempster.
And, well, that’s all we have right now. Talks are said to be “fluid” and it isn’t clear whether top prospect right-hander Zach Lee is included in the Dodgers’ proposal. That seems unlikely, as it would be a pretty hefty price to pay for an impending free agent who can’t be offered arbitration. For Matt Garza? Sure. He’s under team control for another year. But Dempster? Probably not.
The Cubs seem to be preparing for the possibility that a deal, not necessarily with the Dodgers, will go down prior to Dempster’s scheduled start tomorrow tonight against the Cardinals. The club acquired Justin Germano from the Red Sox from cash considerations tonight and have summoned right-hander Casey Coleman from Triple-A Iowa to join the team tomorrow in St. Louis. While it’s no sure thing that a trade will happen by tomorrow night, either pitcher could conceivably start in Dempster’s place.
Dempster, 35, leads the majors with a 1.86 ERA through 14 starts this season and currently holds a 33-inning scoreless streak. He is reportedly drawing interest from a long list of contenders, including the Tigers and Braves. The Red Sox are said to be out of the mix.
UPDATE: Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Zach Lee will not be in a deal for a rental like Dempster. That sounds about right.
