Have been burned at least once by each of the following scumbags this year.

this poll requires multiple checking. Like you, I've been burned by these guys. But, Duaner Sanchez has screwed me over a lot in his dodger days and now as a Met.

Lidge hands down...not even close.

Hes not even the closer anymore.

If he would go down to the minors and quit tipping off his pitches and learn something besides a fastball and slider he has the chance to become great again.

I think Lidge is a pitching coachs dream. He has the ability to save 40 with a sub 2 ERA again with a few adjustments.

I think he has a very strong mental makeup, and thats the most important thing that a closer can have.

I disagree completely...his mental make up is why he was a great set up man. He has never proven he had the mental make up to be a closer. He had 1 good season and melted under pressure.

He has never been the same. He can't get an out.

From April through September of last season he was the best closer in the game by far. I dont think his slump has anything to do with the pujois homer last year. He was already slumping before that. He started going downhill with about 2 weeks left in the regular season. He has to adjust, but his confidence is still very high right now considering what hes gone through lately.

He is not slumping because he was the closer. He is just plain slumping right now. He was the 8th inning guy today and got lit. That had nothing to do with being the closer.

You would not believe how many times last year he came into a game with no outs and runners on first and third and left them stranded.

We have not heard the last from Mr Lidge. He has 400 saves in his future. This is just a bump in the road IMO.

What about Eddie Guardado? Danyz Baez? Those 2 have been AWFUL, but I voted for Lidge mainly because he has been so automatic over the years seeing him blow it everytime he comes in is embarassing. How about every closer goes to Delaware they all pretty much suck this year. Is there one who hasn't blown a key save this year? I know one name but I'm not going to say it because it will probably jinx him!

My pick was Reitsma- He is not a closer and ATL needs to get rid of him and find someone else.

Greg Maddux, 5-4 this year...., and i've been on board for all 4 of his losses, including a scandalous outing against FLA last time out, where he snapped in the dugout and swung a bat at the water cooler, soaking the poor bastard sitting beside him (how stoic he was though...)

Lidge has a strong mental makeup?

Then why has crapped his pants and looked like a sissy since Pujols hit the bomb that still hasn't landed of him in the NLCS?

Oh....... I vote Lidge biggest scumbag.

Juan Encarnacion.

Gets a 3 year multi-million dollar deal...

Is hitting .189 w/RISP...

Real nice replacement for Larry Walker.

He is the official rally/big inning killer in baseball.

On Farnsworth, can add that scumbag to the list of so called closers that have burned my ass this year in the 9th with a lead going in.
