I cannot fathom Royce Gracie having any chance vs Matt Hughes.

Hughes -290 at Pinny now. I like it a lot.
Also might put a little something on Mike Swick -117 over Joe Riggs.

Any thoughts?

The price is right on Hughes. In boxing there is the saying he has a punchers chance as you know meaning he can knock him out with one shot with Gracie he has a tap out chance since Hughes isn't all that bright in the ring for a guy with so much talent since he makes whoever he is facing look much better then they really are so that is the only thing im afriad of but Gracie is far over the hill now that if he was a character on the price of right game cliffhanger the show would of moved on to plinko since its clear his best days are behind him and he is doing it for the money.

We're clearly talking about UFC here, but thanks for your input

It wasn't specified I just took it at face value sorry about the confusion.

I see it as a value proposition on the PPV. I can buy a boxing match for 40 - 50 bucks see two undercards one or both of which will suck. And a main event that may or may not be a good fight. Don't get me wrong because I love boxing. BUT:

For the same $$ with UFC I feel that I get way more entertainment. Now that I have been into it for a few years I have some knowledge about the fighters it makes it even better...

No worries...it's in the title to the thread...

UofO...It is a crazy event when it's held out here in Vegas...The TV show is my favorite on TV right now. Couple kids from Oregon too. You know Couture used to be the strength coach at Oregon State?

I had no idea. I knew he was an Oregonian though.. Gresham?

Couture needs to stick to coaching now. He has looked pretty bad in past few fights.

I try to watch the show but I always end up missing portions. Usually I catch up when they run a marathon of episodes.

I got that Ortiz/Griffin fight a few weeks back. I recall that was in LA? INteresting that there is enough fan interest to start a road show. Speaks volumes about the popularity of the sport.

Ortiz/Griffen sold out the pond...Saturday nights match-up sold out Staples. As much as I want to see the sport grow, I love when they are out here in Vegas, that's a fun night out.

The event in LA is not sold out. In fact if you go thru this link to the ticketmaster site you can get 30% off all tickets. http://www.ticketmaster.com/promo/29804?brand=tmdeal . The last UFC sold out in Anaheim due to scalpers buying up all the tickets then getting killed when they tried to resell them since UFC is pricing the tickets way too high at this point.
