Being that the Belmont is coming up I just thought I would ask some of the posters who feel all sports are unblemished if they remember when the veterinarian in NY SWITCHED 2 horses and walked off with 200k at Belmont in NY. This was approx 20 years ago. The 2 horses were Lebon and Cinzano..One was a $5000 claimer and the other was a South American Stakes horse...The vet switched the stakes horse and got him in a 5000 claimer at Belmont.. Horse won easy ..vet collected 200k in bets..horse paid $55.80......should have paid 2.20.....Vet got caught.....but our posters probably think I am making this up in one of my opiated crack dreams......maybe I am a cynic...after watching all this stuff for 25 years.....TOP DRIVER in Harness Racing Herve Filion BARRED for race fixing for 5 years.....great credibility.....yes I believe all sports are 100% honest...all is pure white..I would never think otherwise.....You guys are right.....I am wrong ....

Guy asked a Bookmaker once "How long have they been raceing horses?" The Bookmaker replied "ever sinse there was 2 horses"
The next question this guy asked the maker was this, " How many races do you think are fixed, or something going on"? The maker repiled " ALL of em" lol

fixed is a bit harsh - many races all of the field are not there to run at their best but that is part of the handicapping process in determining the triers.

I enjoy thoroughbred racing but if the shenanigans don't get you then the takeout structure will. Still I dabble, but not to the degree I did years ago.
