Las Vegas Sands is the corporate name of the owners of the Venetian. This will be tried in a number of places around the end of the year as part of field trials. The Palms probably will have it as well as they have a partnership with another company offering the wireless units.

Don't get too excited about it, you can only play in public areas. Basically its allowing you to play out by the pool, in the convention center, and in some of the bars and restaurants. No play outside the resorts doors or in any hotel rooms.

wasnt too excited about it to begin with, think it might take away some of the fun of playin at the tables but oh well...just thought it was, as they say, newsworthy

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Right, not much to get excited about.

Like playing Keno from your hotel room or by the pool............something that has been available for years allready.

Doesn't matter, won't be around anyway since Goodlatte's bill covers this since it utilizes the "internet as a wagering mechanism"

To prevent underage players. Has to be in the public view.

It doesn't use the internet, it uses a secured wireless channel within the resort.

knew about this sometime ago and threw a nickle on a stock that makes these wireless gaming devices. DMOI Diamond Ventures. :suomi:
Knowing how my luck has been the past few days, some other company probably got the bid.
