Just looking at the Yanks line -410, -1.5 -210, brings me to the question of what is the highest line you've ever seen for a baseball game? Last year I think I recall Santana being a -500 favorite against San Fran and Foppert who was making his first start back from Tommy John. I think Minnesota came back late and only won by 1 run. Anyone else recall anything similiar?

I have only been paying attention to MLB for about three years. I don't remember anything close to a -5.00.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I just missed it. I think the highest I recall is around -4.00 but again...that is just the last couple of years.

Good luck. tulsa

Mussina isn't even that good, wait until KC goes into Bos against Beckett or Schilling, CWS against a hot pitcher, Tor v Halladay, or @ STL in interleague.

I remember that game with santana, there was a load of people in on the forum I was a moderator in disbelief over that line. you wont see lines like this yankees one too often because unlike basketball or even football so much of it is one guy, the starting pitcher. the royals game yesterday was a good case in point, who could of seen a guy like maroth with one of the lowest eras in baseball just falling apart and giving up three straight home runs and six runs in first inning.only with a team as good as the tigers and as bad as royals could you have seen a comeback like that after the way first inning went. who knows musssina may have a breakdown and the royals get 10 runs in first inning and still find a way to lose.
cheers idget

Am I the only one putting 1/2 a unit on KC tonight? I've won plenty of scratch playing them this season and think they have to snap out of this slump eventually...

...at +380 I really can't stop myself!

Mussina has been an excellent pitcher this year. One thing he is doing different is with two strikes he is going after the hitter and not pitching around them as in the past and that has made him a much better pitcher this year.

I remember a line of -480 a few years back at Fenway. Pitching matchup was Pedro in his prime vs John Wasdin on the hill for the rangers. Think the Sox won by double digits that day.

I'm not sure how you have won on KC, must be pretty select choices and luck. They are the worst team to bet in the league, -1700+ on the season.

The Drunkest statement I ever heard in my whole life was that Mussina isn't even that good! OMG! You need to chill with those statements Fhmesq44. You must have your rent money on Kansas City Royals tonight. Or your a true loyal fan.. You tell me .

Remember when the Yankees used to win World Series titles. Then they signed Mussina and have won none since. Curse of the Moose.

Yeah....he's great. He's holding KC to just three runs, all scored with two outs, this 2nd inning. Spectacular. tulsa

Yeah, that is a lot of of chalk !, Highest line I can ever recall.

Houston by no means needs to win the game either !

I would consider their opponent at +1.5, and plus money...no idea who they are playing

I wouldn't start laying 2.5 runs or more, sounds like a good game to pass on.
