Went even yesterday with my picks. So overall I didn't have that good of a day. Friday has gotten off to a good start as I took the Braves straight win and Cubs +1.5. Here are my evening game picks:
Dodgers -121 over Washington: Tomko has been pitching well and LA is the hottest team in baseball. Washington has beat up and worn out bullpen after a tough, crazy series against the Astros. Dodgers hitters have great success against Livan who has been struggling all season long. The only thing Frank Robinson will be crying about in this game is the score afterwards! Jose Guillen is out as well with MARLON ANDERSON? replacing him.
Twins -132 over Seattle: As a Mariners fan I have been observing Felix all season long. The guy is quite simply not ready for the Big Leagues as he showed up to camp overweight and injuries set him back. He is playing catch-up and the results haven't been good. Hitters are hitting over .300 off the guy and the Mariners struggle against overpowering pitchers like Liriano. Felix will eventually get on the right track and have a very good career but I don't see it happening until the 2nd half of the season.
Angels -150 over Baltimore: Bruce Chen is like Jose Lima, you bet against him every chance you get. Don't be fooled by Chen's success last year prior to last season he had played for just about every team in the league for a reason, he isn't that good. Gregg is a big right hander with solid stuff if he can hand this game off to Donnelly, Shields and K-Rod Angels should be in good hands.
Tampa +101 over Boston: Oddsmakers got the wrong team favored in this one. Kazmir has great success against Boston in his career and he is going up against the 42 year old slob David Wells. While Wells may eventually comeback and put together his usuall type season I don't see him outdueling Kazmir in his first start back from the DL. Gotta take Kaz in this one. NOTE: the GM that traded Kazmir for Victor Zambrano should be barred from major league franchises for the remainder of there existance. That is the worst trade in sometime.
