The below comments were made on my initial post:
SUMMARY: This is only an experiment and I can not recommend it at this time because of limited data. I plan to use this forum to establish some data. I will give other information on the system as we continue. Again, I believe the NBA with the road system is the best because I have several years of data to back it up. Baseball can be a difficult sport to bet but I will try this on a month to month basis. Our first potential plays start on May 4th but only if both starting pitchers are listed in the top 40.
As stated above .... The NBA is best for road series plays but I wanted give baseball a shot based on stats from last season. Baseball just has too many variables to be consistant compared to the NBA.
Since it almost the end of May, I will end this experiment but I still believe it has potential but some adjustments are needed. If I would have used only the top 30 instead of the top 40 pitchers, the results would have been better.
Another option that I should have considered: Take the over when both starting pitchers are not in the top 30 ERA and it is at least the third game of a road series.
I will continue to watch this as the season continues.
I have done some research on the NBA with limited progression for last year and the results were great. During the offseason I plan to research the NBA for previous years for more info on this subject.
I will have more info on the NBA before next season.
