Kid Josh Johnson outduels Pedro tonight. Sure they will take their lumps because of their youth, but the hitting will come around and look at this pitching:

and the prospects in the minors, oh man, if just a third of these pan out.

Even if they trade Dontrelle and Miggy C for more prospects they will be absolutely loaded in 3 years. Get your kicks in now because the Florida (or is it Las Vegas/San Antonio/Portland) Marlins will be back.

I love how people love to underlook certian Florida teams. We have 2 word series in 10 years. That has to go for something. We are getting there finally. The state of Florida has great sports teams in college and the pros.

Taylor Tankersley will make it in this league. Had a few beers with him in Tuscaloosa when we played Bama. He's a tough minded, hard nosed kid with a lot fo talent, and a bulldog attitude on the mound. He'll be a solid closer.

Tankersley currently 4-1 with 1.09 era in double-a, 37 k's in 24 ip with a whip of 0.97.
Likely Fish may call him up in July or August, sooner if needed because of injuries.

They overlook them because they have crappy fan support, espically in Miami.

In a few years, if the Marlins actually keep their young talent around, they'll be formidable. Taking their lumps now, but it'll pay off in the long run. A ton of talent on that team.
