LISTED pitchers of Bedard and Jered Weaver ONLY

i see Jered Weaver is making his MLB debut tonite. congrats to you Jered. i got to see jered pitch several times at long beach state when he faced my fullerton titans

NOT very impressed by him

first off he is every bit as emotionally unstable as his brother Jeff - maybe even more so

second - the jered weaver i saw ONLY had a fastball and nothing else. in college you can get away with it because you are so much better than most hitters so throwing a fastball past them is no biggie. in the minor leagues he put up solid numbers - but once again - the key words are MINOR LEAGUES

anyone know what happens in the big leagues to pitchers who ONLY have a fastball and NOTHING else? that's right - the game turns into BP for the other team

i fully expect to see that here. i expect the orioles to score a TON of runs tonite and just light up Weaver like a Xmas tree

I know Bedard will never be confused for Roger Clemens but compared to Jered he will

i like 2 plays on this game - BOTH dogs so even if i go 1-1 i will still make a small profit (which is better than a loss anyway)

let's make the final: Orioles 7 Angels 5

Orioles +120
OVER 9.5 +105

i will add 1 more note

The Pistons will NOT come home down 3-1. don't know if they win G3 or G4 but they will win AT LEAST 1 game. i'll take a shot with tonite and go

Pistons +140 on the M/L

Winky, you saying the guy can only throw fastballs? Wow. If that is the case he won't be in the bigs very long, not sure why they would even bring him up? They must have taught him at least one more pitch or you're right, he will get murdered at this level.

Like your play on Detroit tonight, I too already bet them. Could be one of those series where the road team covers almost every game.

as for Weaver - when i saw him at long beach ALL HE HAD was a fastball. he might have something since then but i will take the chance. he will be pitching in front of a MILLION friends and family members and i think the second he stops and thinks about everything he is in trouble - because he isn't that bright, either (went to long beach - self explanatory)

I might be the only guy on the forum that remembers your post when Sarloos made his first start, hell you might not even remember it. Not sure why but this reminded me of that. Good luck man, I played the over already on O's as well.

PS - we got our ass kicked on that Sarloos play, hope this one is different. LOL.

the thing with Saarloos is this

he is a VERY poor man's verison of Greg Maddux

Saarloos either gets LIT or tosses 6-7 good innings - you NEVER know which one which is why betting his games is a crapshoot and something i stopped doing - just like Vicente Padilla

I will never bet on Bedard again. Had him a few times over the past 2 seasons and he always gets rocked. At least, he may help us get the over here all by himself. Already down 6-0, just need him to pitch another inning or two.

Bad call duck Weaver has given up two hits 0 runs over four innings he is pitching like a champ, why on the other hand Bedard is pitching like a piece of garbage who should be send down to the minors and fast. I don't know where you come up with this stuff that is some bad information.

Looks like Weaver the one pitch wonder is still kicking ass with that fastball...

1 earned run or less in 4 of his last 5 starts. 2.36 ERA on the year.

Just curious..How did you find this? I tried searching for a post for a specific user and could only get a return of 50 threads. Even on my own response i could only see the last 50 posts. I am looking for something and am annoyed that i cant search back farther
