Baseball is impossible this year.>>>>>

wait...no way!

Fact.. O'S 0-8 AS 100-125 UNDERDOG THIS YEAR
Fact.. O's .238 ba on the road
Fact... Bedard 8.24 era 1.93 whip on road...

sorry..but if you put hard earned $ on those facts alone...

Baseball is not impossible...winning 6 games a day just to bet is impossible... find 1to 3 games and hit them...

sorry for your loss guy, but c'mon...only reason i avoided halos was the unknown pitcher...

game's not over btw...:103631605 :103631605 :103631605

Well if you are doing good I am happy for you. I didn't bet this
game nor will I bet more than $50 on any other game this season.

But you did bring up some good stats!

Lesson I learned last year....never bet against a guy making his first start in the big leagues. More often than not they do well because there is no Major League scouting report on the guy and hitters have never seen him before. Here are a few examples of that this year....Bonser @ Milwaukee 6 innings, 5 hits, 1 run, 8 K's.....Josh Johnson @ Washington. There are exceptions though from guys who are not Major League prospects. I remember last year when Rookies would come up against big time starters and out duel them even though they were huge underdogs. Those games started by first time rookies are a tough one. I think Johnny Damon said it best last year "we'd rather face Randy Johnson than a guy we have never seen before." Orioles have plenty of offense but Jered Weaver is one of the top prospects in the game this shouldn't have been unexpected.

Doesn't matter how much a team sucks...it's all about picking and choosing your spots. Sorry the O's didn't come through for you all tonight, but that doesn't mean that there won't be value in betting them later on this season.

You are right colin, a few years back Edwin Jackson beat Randy Johnson and Arizona in his first start and is gone now.

Focus, if you think both the Orioles and Bedard are that bad, why did you bet on them? :icon_conf

that's what you get for putting money on the Os. there are some teams this season that you just shouldn't bet on, like the Os and the cubs for example

Baseball is impossible this year. Bullpens and pitchers have been
so unpredictable.

No one could have summed it up better than your statement on MLB action.

Two nights in a row, I have watched my parlays go down the tubes because of two bullpen screwballs given it up. Not just a run or two, but SEVERAL runs, usually, at least TWO to screw the pooch. (+1.5 dies, too)

THEN, they yank him. The clue to the manager shoulda been
1. Hit batsman
2. 2 walks
3. grand slam
4. uh, huh huh, Beavis, uh huh huh

So, yeah, I agree with you.

I didn't think Bedard went last night. I just took him vs the Red Sox on Tuesday. :think2:

and Baltimore won last night
