was going to throw large on them today and was waiting for the lineups to come out before the game started and then got sidetracked, so I missed putting my wager in...THANK GOD !!! I was going to go large...

So anywho...just saw that stat on SC and of course I'm still thinking "CHASE, CHASE, CHASE" on CIN tomorrow....just wanted to know what you guys thought about the game with all the chalk tomorrow (Sun)...

It would be awfully hard for me to lay that kind of wood in the first place, but "hopeing" that Cincinnati bats come alive is even harder. The chalk maybe the right side here, but it will be without me.

Cincinnati has really cooled off after there monsterous start. They're facing a rookie though making his major league debut. Even though most of the time I recommend not betting against the rookie this is a tough time not too because this guy is a soft tossing pitcher. Only 35 K's in 61 innings in AAA so guys are going to be putting the ball in play and when that happens, in that ball park the results can be ugly. Law of averages says the Reds have to heat up and today should be a good day for it to happen.

With so many games in the Baseball season I dont understand how people get obsessed with certain situations. What is the big deal to whats happened over the last 21 innings, books love that sort of interest as they can nail down chasers and "worm will turn" merchants with a losers price, conversely why bet a game on the sheer reasoning that you may be getting some value because of the situation.

Too many times on this Forum posters talk about games etc without giving scant regard to the Betting figures. McIrish harped on it in his thread about not getting too involved with the Handicapping at the expense of accepting bad prices. Although the NFL is slightly different in its fewer games, I know it inside out. Because of that, if I make a Team -4 I'm more likely to take the -5 on offer, whereas in Baseball, which I know nothing, I will be cold-blooded in accepting -105 but not -110. At the end of the day its not the result that will make the difference but the Price. :drink:
