I have been trying to analyze this game and I am just curious if anyone has any thoughts on the spread to take for this game I am not lookin at straight up I either want to bet the O/U or the 1.5 or 2.5 adjusted line

I was thinking of taking the -1. I actually like this a lot but its a lot of juice -260.

Think Oakland dismantles them.

In the rare case MLB wants the Royals to screw the -1.5 bettors like yesterday I would take the -1 instead of -1.5 but think both will win. :drink:

Actually been using Oakland in parlays though. Mixing and matching with everything.

Etherton has sucked in his major league career and Haren has dominated the Royals in his 2 career starts against them. Reggie Sanders left last game with hamstring tightness. He is one of there few legit major league hitters and he probably won't be in the lineup. A's have been slumping but should be a good game for them to break out of there slump. Oh, and KC had to make the East Coast to West Coast trip. I've always been told that plays a big factor in the outcome of some games.

I am on Oakland, but don't really love the play. They are atrocious hitting right now. Everyone is in the .240 range and they have no speed to make up for it. Bradley being out hurts them and they are just station to station with absolutely zero clutch hitting. That being said, we are talking about KC and Haren has pitchen very well lately.

Good point on the trip, although it is easier going east to west than vice versa.

Dan Haren looks like horse shit and Oakland offense is atrocious. They may actually make a pretty even matchup with KC right now considering how bad they are.

wtf r they doing giving the game away to KC :(

Well there lineup is pathetic they have perhaps the worst bottom 3 in baseball, Johnson and Ellis are practically automatic outs, Jay Payton has a .650 OPS, Jason Kendall hasn't hit a home run in like his last 700+ at bats, the 3 hitter has a .750 OPS, statistical wise outside of Swisher and Chavez this team has all below average major leaguers in there lineup. A's usually don't heat up until June/July but you'd figure they'd roll over the RoyAAAls

Don't forget, they have absolutely no speed (12 total SBs). Only Swisher is over .281

Like a dumbass, I too got sucked in to the A's R.L. You always figure that a good way to get out of a slump is to have the Royals/Nationals/Pirates/Marlins/Cubs come to town.

Well, not tonight A's. You sorry asses.

For what it's worth, I see value in the Royals at +194 tomorrow. Royals have young pitcher going (Batista) whom the A's have not seen yet. With an offense that bad, that usually means they won't get too many hits w/o having faced the guy yet.
