It went from a Wiseguy joint to a "recreational" book overnight. Sad but true!

This thread is headed for cyberspace oblivion as soon as it gets noticed. Will be flying around with the IP bedbug story.

To add:

Your customer service reps are all clueless. Lost in space. Total idiots. I could go on and on, but I already have a headache.

I'm shocked this is still up for discussion. That being said, Hollywood is clearly not the same out they were two weeks ago. Maybe they can thrive with their new business plan, maybe not.

Props to Wil et al for allowing the matter to continue to be an open point. Perhaps there are some members of thie community that can continue to find a reason to play with this book.

VVV

p.s. I would be very interested in hearing what those reasons might include.

They are still a solid book. They are one of the few books that have five inning bases lines. I can usually find a better price there on something. They are backed by a financially sound organization (not a lot of books can say that).

I see that SBR now has Hollywood rated as a C book. How the mighty have fallen. I wonder if the previous owner has to reimburse some of the purchase price due to the bolting of players. Pox on the new owners house. LT:pucking:

I wonder who are the new owners? Did Hollywood got absorbed by a bigger corporation like BOS, or CRIS?

The Sporting Bet Group makes any BIG BOOK look like a mom and pop joint here in Costa Rica. They have offices all over the world, They are a publicly traded company, They have a Board Of Directors and Escrow accounts, etc........

A lot of you players would be surprised at the size of the offices you are playing into. You expect these giant offices filled with rows and rows of clerks taking action 24 hours a day........Well guess what!!!! BULLSHIT.

I almost shit my pants when I walk into some of these HUGE books and find a very minimal amount of staff running the whole operation. Don´t let your imagination take you just because they have banners all over the forums. Alot of the forum owners are gamblers themselves and take Bonus Betting accounts in exchange for advertising.

All I can say is you cannot knock a book just because they don´t offer what you want. Companies get bought out all the time and there is always change that occurs like it or not. What you need to ask yourself is does this book offer me value anymore?

Don´t knock a book just because they just got bigger and changed their policies. Find a way to use it to your advantage. Their props just went from 10 a day to 200 a day. I have been following this saga and all I can say is I would exploit the fuck out of their lines. Just make sure you plan your payouts knowing in advance that it will take a little longer to get a payout than you have been getting in the past. They still got the dime line at -190, Now insted of -107 you get -105 on Fridays and Mondays.......All this shit is on their web site. You should all stop complaining for a second and start making some money............:money8:

Are you serious? Isn't this book now a clone of the other sportingbet books when it comes to line, pops, etc. This buyout adds ZERO value to the players here. We lose the old hollywood offerings and gained nothing, all those same props and lines could have been had just by playing at any other sportingbet book. Unless I am missing something, which is possible since I haven't played there since the change.

Ladeda,

I have no idea. I used to play at Hollywood and I like to play props so everynow and then I would pop in to see what they had to offer and they just didn´t have all the extras you can get at other books now like the first 5 inning lines, in game betting, and off the wall betting options and if they did put somethng up like the the Oscars or stuff like that (very rarely) they were super conservative.........

I am not sure if they are dealing the same lines as the other books under their umbrella, but I have found a lot more betting options available to me than I did before. What I do not understand is if clients are having limit problems at Sportingbet or Sportsbook.com than guess what? You also have an account at Hollywood so their goes the limit problem. Thats just one small example I meant by exploiting what has been made available to you.

I personally am staying on board and at first when I heard they were being bought out I thought about closing the account, but after reading more about the company that bought them I decided to give them a shot. So far the only negative thing about them I have heard is the slow payout and no more -107, but I was on the other program being a small player the -107 wouldn´t make much of a difference. I wanted the re-deposit bonuses.

I would chip in my 2 cents but was one of the unfortunate few that were asked not to attend the welcome new management party. All I know is they were one of my best outs for years. Now their bookmark is deleted, another one bites the dust.

Best Wishes...OF :howdy:

what i hate about the "new" hollywood is betting a favorite on the net. example, you want to bet a minus 150 team to win a series. you can't bet to WIN 500 only 500 to win 333. just moronic.
