What a poorly played and managed game by Chicago. In the 7th, Thome walks on 4 pitches so Konerko swings at the 1st pitch and hits a lazy fly ball. In the 8th, Ozzie lets Widger hit against a righty and he watches 3 pitches down the middle. In the 9th, they get the best SB guy in the AL on to lead off the inning and Cintron swings at the 1st pitch to get Podsednik forced out. How can Guillen not give Cintron the take to give Podsednik a chance to steal? Cintron could have then bunted him to 3rd. Then Mackowiak looks at 6 pitches looking for a walk and gets the backwards K. Then Long Duk Dong tries to play hero and grounds out weakly to 2nd on the 1st pitch. Wasted opportunities.
