3-3 (+1.86 units) yesterday
96-108 (-38.59 units) overall

went 3-3 last night, only reason i was on the plus side was i hit both three unit plays. i do not feel like i am picking all that badly. my problem is i seem to have one horrendous day a week where i drop 10 units and that destroys my overall record. i guess i need to keep plugging away.

dodgers -157 vs phillies (3 units).................i hate going against my phillies, but i have to in this spot. here is something copied and pasted about tonights starting pitchers....Floyd, who comes into the series opener at 4-2 with a 6.62 ERA, has struggled in his last three outings, giving up 16 runs in 14 1/3 innings. While the righty managed three no-decisions, the Phillies lost all three games.

The Dodgers counter with Derek Lowe, one of the National League's hottest hurlers. Lowe comes in with a 2.92 ERA, however, since his eight-run outing on Opening Day, that number falls to 2.17.

The Los Angeles right-hander has won each of his last two starts, pitching 14 innings and allowing just one earned run.

i am starting to think that gavin floyd is not the pitcher everybody in philly thinks. he has talent, but has not shown it. he is a go against tonight at la.

atlanta -122 vs arizona (3 units)..............i have been riding the braves recently and it has paid off for the most part. i will continue to take them at this price at home all year long. win or lose i do not regret this pick. arizona has had a great year so far, but i look for them to start fading a little bit. i think they are playing over their heads right now.

detroit -130 vs yankees (2 units)............i have been taking the tigers to beat the yanks this whole series, so why stop now? they have the pitching advantage tonight and are at home. don't think leyland is very happy and wants this one badly to show they belong with the leagues elite teams this year. i think they get it.

white sox -140 vs cleveland (2 units)............really like the white sox pitcher in this one.......here is more copied and pasted about him..........Contreras makes his ninth start of the season and third since returning from the 15-day disabled list. He brings with him a 13-game regular-season winning streak and a 13-0 record with a 1.94 earned run average over his last 16 regular-season starts. The 13-game winning streak is the fourth-longest by a White Sox pitcher since 1970. Contreras also has a 2-0 record with a 2.01 ERA lifetime against the Indians.

pittsburgh -106 vs milwaukee (1 unit)............pirates fans are going to hate, but i am taking them today. what a sure fire way to stop a winning streak. i have been on the brewers this whole series and i am tired of losing. i still don't think the pirates are all that good, but i have to go with their smoking bats here as this small a favorite. usually i would be on the brewers in a game like this to avoid a sweep, but seeing how i have been losing, it might be a good idea to take the bucs here. i think i will.

over 10 (+109) pittsburgh/milwaukee (1 unit)...........for the same reason above, pirates pounding the ball right now. even if they lose today, it will be because they were outscored. this will not be a pitchers duel. i almost made this more than one unit, but i have a history of really sucking at totals.

good luck everybody!!
