I am taking a little heat in the hockey forum for betting againt the Sabres tonight. I like Carolina a bunch tonight against the Sabres. I bet with my head not my heart. Is it right or wrong?

Agreed. If you are willing to fade your home team, it is most likely a great play.

So very TRUE! The ONLY time I will NOT play against Florida is when they play The Late Hitting Florida State Criminoles. There is just some things that I will not do. LT:money8: :monsters-

If you ask Illini, i should be burned at the stake for betting on Washington vs Illinois, even though i would have lost had i taken Illinois in the tournament LOL

Don't think it's wrong at all. Have bet against some of my hometown and favorite teams past, present and future. While some give dirty looks, call it degenerate or disgusting, if one can make some coin off it, nothing wrong with that IMO.

You probably stand the best chance at winning that wager, as a fan you know your team better than the others and know when they are gonna get beat, my problem is betting on them when I know they don't have a chance.
