This NHL on OLN deal has got to go away. It will take the NHL at least a couple of years to recover from the lack of exposure on this silly channel.

I'd like to see the ratings #'s. They have to be just horrible.

P.S. Working just fine on Directv

I agree. I'm not the biggest Hockey fan but this is atrocious. I remember going to a friends house on Memorial game and he wanted to see the Sabres game and he couldn't even find the channel. So in all actuality you have to A.) find the channel (which is some obscure high channel number) and B.) see if your local cable company has the channel.

Agreed. When you're televising on the Outdoor Life Network you know your sport is in trouble. For the many people that have WOW Cable, they dont even get OLN!

I will say this though. They're coverage has improved greatly since the beginning of the year. The first studio set they had was straight out of 1985.

The broadcasts seem to be clearer and crisper as well. Plus the only way to see HD Hockey here! They still need to do some work to do on the camera work. They zoom in too close to the puck carrier a lot and then they have to zoom out. It was so bad one game that I was getting a headache.

Some would say the red headed step child of leagues belongs on a red headed step child network. All part of the over all PR problem that the NHL faces.

Although the connection has been fine in the DC area. Maybe Philly's got a bad feed.

Bet NBC is happy with the Edmonton - Carolina final ,

This is going to probably be the worst watched programing in the time slot from 8-11 est. among the networks Fox,ABC,CBS even the WB might beat NBC when they go head to head with the NHL for games 3-7

I bet NBC is hoping for a 4 game sweep. Then they would only get stuck with showing 2 games since OLN gets games 1 and 2 of the finals
-------------------------------------
OLN, in its first season as the NHL's cable network in the United States, will televise the first two games of the finals. The remaining contests will be shown on NBC, also in its first year of the league's new television deal that was agreed to following last season's lockout.

Stanley Cup Finals Schedule
Game 1 -- Monday, June 5: Edmonton at Carolina, 8 p.m.
Game 2 -- Wednesday, June 7: Edmonton at Carolina, 8 p.m.
Game 3 -- Saturday, June 10: Carolina at Edmonton, 8 p.m.
Game 4 -- Monday, June 12: Carolina at Edmonton, 8 p.m.
Game 5 -- Wednesday, June 14: Edmonton at Carolina, 8 p.m., if necessary
Game 6 -- Saturday, June 17: Carolina at Edmonton, 8 p.m., if necessary
Game 7 -- Monday, June 19: Edmonton at Carolina, 8 p.m., if necessary

I had the black screen too and missed the game. Had Buffalo +900 to win the East and +2200 to win the Cup.

unfortunely true. When i go to chicago there is no hockey televised. They dont have oln. Now you see why the ratings are so low.

Thats OK, they don't show the Blackhawks either.

About Comcast, why don't they show the Comcast Sports Philly on Directv? They have Chicago, Wash DC, and Sacramento.
