Last night I saw the Brewers at +104 on the Mansion Exchange I thought the public would drive the line down sp I put a lot on the +104 looking to get scalp later when the line goes down. I was able to find get small scalp when the line went down to Pittsburgh -102. Is betting a lot on one side on overnight lines in hopes of getting a scalp the next day considered gambling or part of scalping ?

It's gambling on line movement you "forecast". A true scalp is in real time.

Well two things. You never know the line moves so you have to like the side or at least be willing to buy it back even or at a tiny loss if only for scalping.

If you bet it just for scalp you are tied to it and you are really just betting that the line moves your way.

The best way is to bet the games that you like and you think will move and be scalpable. Because if there becomes no scalp or at least a minimal loss to get off the game you are just giving money away for that game. And you can decide to keep it for however much you want to.

It takes a lot of time and many accounts but if you practice for a whole season at say 20 bucks a game and even take a polish middle loss here and there you could learn much.

If there is chance involved then it is 'gambling'.

What you did is called "taking a lead". If you are good at it, you can make a lot of money and never have to worry about the outcome of a game. Fishhead seems to be the best at this, in the world, (judging from his previous posts about this subject) so I'm sure he can give you some great tips. I suck at taking leads.
