3*Indians -115: The Indians have gotten into a groove and are looking to make a big run. Their offense is going on all cylinders and discounting todays game their pitching has done much much better. Jason Johnson pitched very well in his last outing and Im hoping he can build off that against the sometimes offensively inept Angels. If the Indians hit like they can the Angels will not be able to keep up. Although they Angels are doing pretty well themselves I think a large part of their success was due to facing bad road teams and horrible road pitchers in a 6 game homestand.
2*Boston -130: Detroit was somewhat exposed facing one of the few top tier teams this year and not doing so well. Even with the absence of Sheffield and Jeter for most of the series NYY did very well against the Tigers. Although they had some late success today I doubt they will be able to get that many bases loaded no out situations to bail themselves out again vs Schilling. I really cant see Kenny Rogers sustaining his numbers throughout the year and not to mention he is known to suck in the big game while Schilling is the type who thrives in this situation.
2*Tampa Bay +136: Seth Mcclung pitches much better at home than he does on the road. Tampa Bay has played hit better lately and Vernon Wells may sit this game out. In all honesty I cant really find much information to back this play I just kind of have a gut feeling.
2*Over Boston/Detroit 9 -125: Im really seeing Rogers getting lit tomorrow while Schilling surrendering 3-4 runs. Im seeing a 7-3 , 8-4 type final for tomorrows game.
2*STL -1.5 +115: Sean Marshall has not done very well on the road this year at all. Facing one of the MLB's top home teams for the 2nd time around can be trouble. Sidney Ponson has done very well this year and came off the DL without skipping a beat. Although the Cubs have improved in recent weeks I dont think it'll be enough to win or keep it close, in this pitching matchup at least.
