Funny you should ask.........this past MEMORIAL DAY at the Hard Rock pool here in Tampa I seen one of the best concerts I have ever been to..........and it was FREE with $2 BOTTLED beers being served up by the tons.

The ROMANTICS were the headline act, but all five preceeding performers were awesome too!!

I will see if I can find something on it.

There were probably less than 2,000 people at the concert.

It is called the "GARAGE ROCK" TOUR..............STEVEN VAN ZANDT hosts the shows.

Mermaid and myself met practically every band member from ALL five groups performing........will post pic of MERMAID and STEVEN in a few days on this site.

The popular one-day music event - held three times since 2000 at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds in Mt. Pleasant Township, featuring big-name bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers - is being discontinued in the wake of a new partnership struck between Rolling Rock and guitarist and actor Little Steven Van Zandt's company Renegade Nation to sponsor a series of concerts nationwide this summer to be called "Garage Rock."

"The cost for a new rock band to get around the country has become exorbitant, making it nearly impossible for great new music to reach fans," said Van Zandt, a founding member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, an actor on HBO's "The Sopranos" and host of a syndicated rock radio show.

And thats why they play the game.

Mermaid and myself actually suggested to one of the bands if they would like to play at the RX BASH either this year or in future years.

They were all for it and actually confirmed they have played in a ballroom setting before in Vegas. :103631605

NIN Amherst. Was going to go see Cold Play, but for $150 they can go get f*cked. Really would like to see Bare Naked Ladies, so if anyone knows of some upcoming concerts let me know. I saw them on t.v. for "The great Guiness toast" and ever since then I wanted to check them out. :drink:

John Denver at a lake before he died. Outdoors..really nice at sunset by a lake. A friend of mine who is a hardcore music fan still says its the best he s ever seen live...even better than the Boss.
