Here is what I am looking to do. I can't sit by the computer all afternoon, I actually have to work:pucking: . I have $500 on Cincy -103 last nite at Mansion that I want to get out of. If I could get Houston +107 or higher and am not here to see it I will be pissed.

So do you guys make offers like that? I Never have done one before. How long do they last? I imagine till they get filled or the game starts. Can you get out of them anytime you want and cancel before someone takes your offer?

Is this the "technique" you scalpers use when away from your computer awhile? At Matchbooks you don't get "taxed" on offers even if you win, right?

I explained that wrong.

If I want Houston +107, than I have to offer Cininatti -107 and I get Houston than +107? Is that right? Wow this is confusing.... could someone explain this?

Probably you should make your offer as +107 on Houston, and it will show up as -107 Cincy on the exchange. But if current odd on Cincy is -103, your offer will be listed beneath it.

Yes you are right in how to make the offer. Click the opposite side of what you want, in this case Cinnn, and make the odds -107. You should then see an offer show up for Hou+107 unless someone has a lower priced once for say+106. It will show up as long as you have the best offers. And yes you can cancel your offer at any time as long as nobody has accepted it. Also I think Mansion is charging 1% now for all accepted offers so keep that in mind when making an offer

An offer left sitting there is vulnerable to being accepted when lines move, and it becomes scalpable. If you can't watch it, it may be best to just take the best price now, even at a small loss.

Didn't you offer both sides of NBA games before ? Same proceedure.

Jeez - never heard anyone make an exchange sound more confusing. No wonder the exchanges have a hard time cracking the north american market.

It's really not that difficult. If you want to bet $500 on the 'Stros at +107, just put your bet in at that. You don't have to reverse your wager or anything, the exchange does all that for you automatically.

Basically what you're doing is offering CIN at -107 for someone to bet against your 'Stros +107 but you don't have to do that yourself; by placing a request for 'Stros at +107 it does all the work. You guys are overthinking it.
